DIII-D is equipped with six fast neutral pressure gauges located at key positions in the upper and lower divertors, and at the vessel midplane. These gauges are all commercial variants of the fast pressure gauges developed for use on the ASDEX tokamak. The pressure range for these gauges extends from <10-3 mtorr to >10 mtorr. Time resolution is generally between 1 and 10 msec, with the value for a particular gauge governed by geometric factors rather than the intrinsic response of the gauge itself. The table below gives the location of each gauge and the pointname of the pressure signal derived from its measured electron and ion currents.
